    Lifeboat #5 from the S.S. Carolina sunk by U-boat June 2, 1918, 75 miles off Atlantic City; landed with survivors at South Carolina Ave. 3 days later. The lifeboat was given to Coast Guard after raising several $100.000s on Steel Pier for War Bonds & Red Cross. Deaccessioned.
